Mission

The Kellerman History Museum

The museum

The museum is located in the heart of downtown Cape Girardeau, housed within the historic former City Hall building on Independence Street.

The Kellerman History Museum showcases the heritage of Southeast Missouri through carefully curated exhibits, artifacts, and historic preservation work. Housed in restored landmark buildings, it offers visitors an immersive experience that highlights the region’s cultural, architectural, and civic history. Through exhibitions, community programs, and educational initiatives, the museum brings local stories to life while preserving them for future generations.
